ASHURST PRIMARY 

CARE

Ashurst Primary Care is a semi-rural practice located in the village of Ashurst, Skelmersdale, West Lancashire, approximately 17 miles north east of Liverpool and 30 miles west of Manchester.

The surgery is located in purpose built Ashurst Health Centre and looks after 5400 patients. The areas served by this Practice are:

  • Ashurst

  • Birch Green

  • Whalleys

  • Elmers Green

Our purpose is to provide all patients registered with the practice with care of the highest quality and to seek continuous improvement on the health status of the practice population. We aim to achieve this by developing and maintaining a safe practice which is responsive to people’s needs and reflects, whenever possible, the latest advances in Primary Health Care.

DOCTOR EARNINGS

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The mean earnings for GPs working in Ashurst Primary Care in the financial year ended 31st March 2023 was £74,669 before deduction of employee's superannuation

contributions, tax and National Insurance. This is the average pay for the 1 full-time GP and 3 part-time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months during that year.
